It all started somewhere in the mountains of eastern Kentucky in the mid-90’s.  Jeff Stanhope, founder and CEO began his love for great music.  As a musician, Jeff understands how hard it is to make it in the music industry, so once he was out of high school, he began working on a project to aid struggling musicians and bands get a leg up on the rest of the record business.  Living in Lexington, KY he started to see that no matter how hard they worked, none of the bands in the area were making it.  So he decided to make a change in the system.  SpellBinding Records, Inc. is now one of the few record labels in KY and is the only one dedicated to the independent musician or band.
